Back story...I'm scanning some old 35mm Slides before they deteriorate completely. Many have lost their original colours and turned pink and purple, some have even gone clear! Most require excessive clean up to get rid of dust, scratches and other age related damage. Some I have cleaned up nicely...others not so much. Neat thing is...I found a small collection of photos of plastic models...the models built by my late Father in the late 50s, early 60s. I remember these kits from my childhood...I was never allowed to touch them! But most of them I clearly recall even though I was only 4 in 1963. And this one I remember very vividly. For some reason I was fascinated by its springy (metal?) tongue. An obvious addition my Father added to the model...he worked on the British Railways, and he was always making something in his spare time out of metal. Anyway, this photo was taken while we lived in London (England) and is dated 1963, which means it was the first edition of WeirdOhs Digger. I know there isn't much special about this model, since it is well known and reissued multiple times... but I thought it was neat to see a vintage photo like this. And nobody else will appreciate it as much as you guys, I'm sure. A real blast from the past, man! Dig it!

Your Father was obviously a skilled craftsman.
That is an excellent build. Thanks for sharing!
