Here’s an old L’il Herbie build of mine . Started out as a huge glue bomb . I recast the windows and wheel centers .. scratch built bumpers and few other extras .. just sharing

What a cute little bug!!! Did you print your own decals??? These were floating around on a couple lists several years ago .. I got them off a fellow toon-head ... That's a nice looking bug! I like the off white you used ; I was never happy with the gloss white I used on mine. As for the decals , I think I was that Toon head !! I still may have some of those repros kicking around..

I do have a kit of this lil herbie and I have to remind myself to get to do that sometimes soon. I forget its there in the box.

Thanks everyone .. this isn’t an exact replica of the Herbie kit but it filled a spot in my collection .. I’ve since acquired a Funster Bug and may give it another try ..

Nice Herbie! I had a similar body years ago that I got at a Goodwill store. I believe it was a toy, about 9" long. Covered with flower stickers and had one piece black plastic window insert. Can't remember what kind of wheels, etc, but think it had a friction motor.... Was going to make a wild 'Toons dragster out of it- put the body in some very hot water to remove the stickers.... and it totally deformed 😳😢 I think it must have been resin. Nice restoration on yours👍👍
