Might I add that these contests were designed to support all the members who love this nitch in the hobby.. We wanted to support the very talent gracing the CAR-TOONS board with hopes to bringing us closer as a group.. It's very enjoyable to see a successful contest which could only be made through its members... As the Admin of this board I want to express my sincere gratitude to Bob Spedding for going beyond the call of duty during this awesome contest.. We certainly hope that we have managed to provide a cool place to hang out, share talents, and enjoy the camaraderie of recently joined and charter members as well !!! THANK YOU !!!

Yes, I have had a long time interest in cartooning. Even to this day, I still watch cartoons on tv with my kids because its an area where you can really enjoy your time and creativity. I am never bored with any new ideas or fads in car related cartoons. So, when this board came up, I instantly signed in and become a member and knowing I will enjoy seeing others creativity as much as I can. Of course we have responsibilities in life but this one here is a good break where you can enjoy your time. Thanks for creating this rare board where we all can gather and enjoy the childhood life in our hearts.
Having contest does drive our enthuiasm and get us keeping up with creativity and getting us enjoy seeing their creativity. Especially sharing ideas and being humble with our true interest makes this contest an enduring one. Thank you all !

Thanks for the kudos Chuck , but let's not forget that this contest was Ira's idea to begin with ! I just happened to have too much free time on my hands .  It's all about having a place to share a common interest , forget about everyday problems , and have some fun !  |

Make a place like this was a great idea! If needed, I can make (for free) some vinyl decals, to give to all the participant, or just for promote the website. I'm talking mono color decals, like the "family" decals you can see on the back window of cars. Maybe with a stylized cartoon car... Just an idea...  |

Actually the TRUE story behind the Car-TOON board goes like this ... My long time friend Paul Canney (AKA FUNNYBUG) and I have dabbled in an occasional cartoonish carcature build... Paul set the board up then handed the torch off to me and the seed has grown from there... Thanks Paul for your help/vision for this cool hangout... !!! Chuck |
