I've had this old glue bomb for years and finally decided it's time to fix it up ! It's missing a few parts but what's there looks good except for the mirrors being broken off . I have a few spares , including a windscreen which I'll probably need after disassembly . I also have an incomplete Funster to scrounge parts from . And I'll find out how good these decals I had printed up are ! Disassembly wasn't too bad , the old glue was brittle and hadn't welded the plastic except in a couple of spots . The only casualties were the windscreen and the rear axle . The front axle is the correct width so it stays put , but the rear was too wide and had to be removed . It will take me a few days to clean the parts and gather all of the missing pieces . Stay tooned !

Instead of chopping up the bottom to move the tires in I thought I'd try something different and just shorten the hubs . . . Left is shortened , right is stock . Overall width is 1/2 inch narrower . Front and rear both narrowed . Added some strips of plastic so there's something to glue to ! All cleaned up and lightly polished .

Decals are on and it's been cleared . Good news is that these decals go on really really nice . The white is very opaque , even more than most decals I've used from the kit manufacturers . Much better lighting during the day to take photos ! Stripped all of the chrome parts so they can be painted an aluminum color . No spare parts in my Funster so I found these small block Chevy ones in my stash . I took a pattern for the sides of the wing off of my finished McLapper . I'll have to make the little adjusting struts that attach to the bottom . A trip to the Dollar store turned up some plastic tips from mechanical pencils that are almost the exact size of the exhaust megaphones !

I'm pretty sure I have one of the spoiler sides lying around if you need it .
