I love Big rigs and model big rigs. I love Car-toons and Car-toon models. I have noticed a lack of Big trucks in the Deal's style. I have seen Deal's artwork of pickup, I enjoyed the Van model I got to work on and even saw that Plastimatic had made a Willy's Jeepster. I have only seen one drawing of Dave's with a rig. I do not clam to be an expert in deal's wheels, far from it. I will be looking forward to y'alls input. I have already been bothering far many nice people with to many questions. I have some spare parts from a Gomad and an old Dodge (Durge?) L700 glue bomb. The L700 already has a nose down stance, bulbus COE cab with a split front windshield. Painted green it made me think of a ninja turtle. I did the nasty part and cleaned up the old L700. I've sent Rincon Ron to get his C class license at the DMV. But L700? that isn't a Deal's wheels name. And Rincon Ron drives the Gomad. So it looks like I need help with some Deal-ly names for the L700 and O'l trucker Ron. I have the frame out of paint and am playing with wheels and blocking out the cab so the driver fits. Don't know if it will be 5th wheel, box or flatbed yet. If I do 5th wheel I might be forced to make a trailer. I used the pencil tip exhaust trick I saw Bob use on his Mclapper Thanks to every one for checkin this out. Very open to ideas and comments. Jonathan

Thanks guys! Bob your very correct, nose down is the way to go. I glued the front axle in upside down, without really thinking about it. But when I was mocking up for the first time, I got a flat stance and what looks like a tip-toeing truck. Neat, fun and different but nose down will look better. Jonathan

So sorry, should have said, I think I like the flat bed. Cut to length and painted last night. playing with tie down straps. I also would enjoy your ideas for a Deal-ly name. Thanks

I will call him Rory. Someone said Chuck, but he looks nothing like Starryeyes. I gave him the tip off the thumb of my old work gloves as a hat. Took 4 or 5 tries to get Rory in the cab and looking natural. Jonathan

What a great idea for a " never was" Deal's ride ! Looking forward to seeing more progress shots. As for a name ? The only thing that pops into my head is "Dodge'em" . In England, Bumper cars are ( or were ) called Dodge'ems , and it could be a play on words too, like Rory drives so fast you would have to dodge out of his way to avoid getting run over !

Not the Real or Final load just need some fun today. I work 1 full and 2 part time jobs, just picked up some seasonal work with a delivery Co. I've been burning to many candles at to many ends. yesterday I smashed the left side of my face in, big O'l dent. Could not pass Dr.'s tests and was sent home. Not a pity party. wanted y'all to know I have not forgotten about this rig. You have all been so supportive, Thank You All! Remember that Pain is just weakness leaving the body. Jonathan

Lookin' good Jonathan! I think that load of Tofu is supposed to be headed to my house and we all need to take a break sometimes. I'm pushing any thought of finishing a kit off until after the holidays. Take care!
