Okay, so, I'm putting one of these up on my workbench (read that as "dining room table" ) Except I'm planning on turning things around and getting him back on the road: Let's see how this goes...

I had gotten around to puttying up the holes and bust thru spot and the body. I used a two-part white plastic epoxy (PlasticWeld, maybe, from the local AutoZone). Nice stuff. Sands very smooth. I also opened up the new front end. Mocked up with a second set of Weird-Ohs rear wheels: But then I tried using a donor set of wheels from a Woodie on Surfari kit. I think I like them better. More cartoonish. I wanted to modify the back end some more, and after some searching, I found these slime-filled half eggs at Target: The eggs are much firmer plastic than your average Easter variety, but I was still able to mold the curve a bit with hot water (after I cut one in half). And you can see from the Ziploc back that I went thru two of them in the process. Mounted on the rear with more of that plastic epoxy: And so it goes...

Finally got a smooth coat of paint on the body, after a couple o' dips in the pond. Work on Ray has been slowed by paint reaction goofs as well, but we trundle on....
