I'm gonna try to take the Trans Am out of this thing and take it back to a standard Firebird. I'm keepin' the "Um" in the title 'cause "Um" I'm not sure how this is goin' to work out. I don't have much time but, I want to keep these ideas movin' along...

Rolled the cut off DW flares in to make the fender lips...narrowed and grafted in the Revell '78 1/25 nose and tail...

I just watched an early Rockford files show from 1974 - The 74s had the round headlights and the flat back glass like the Trans Um model- Looking forward to seeing the transformation to the later Firebird !

I used to practice J turns back in the early 1980s when I worked in a salvage yard- it came in real handy later on driving in Enduro races !

I'm lookin' forward to seein' the transformation too...Removin' the Trans Am flares and spoiler so far is the complicatin' part of the build so far... Some of my grafts are not the cleanest...Putty and paint hides a multitude of sins...

Removin' the flare from the front of the rear wheel well left a big void. It was a compound curve that I just get right with sheet styrene. The only time that I've used this Apoxie Sculpt stuff is on DW driver heads until now.
