Hello all !!! Hope the Christmas and New Year finds you in good health and all done. Since a new contest is created and Halloween are to be used as a theme. Thought about the ideas and all the stuff.. Again I am sticking to the Deals Wheels.. which I always love. So I decided to go next level with Nomad. As For this moment, I started out earlier with opening all the doors and perhaps making some sick ideas in there. I have not come up with some details yet but have something in mind. This is going to be a long lapse of posting some works in this thread. Hopefully I can get to complete the work ! As a start, I pictured the car body along with cut outs. This is going to be a real challenge but I am going for it!

I did some little work on it for now... since the weather was soo cold! basement was cold tho.. so then this time I had the chance to quickly do some few steps... Picked up from e bay the parts from a model kit which was left overs I did not want to buy whole kit and waste the parts after all.. Going to use them parts by parts to probably work with it, dont know if I will succeed that but gonna try Realizing that its very delicate and I will have to develop some strength to ensure the mechanism works well.. More will come

Sorry to dissapoint you all guys, I have met with a challenge which draws me away from building the car. This led me leaving it on the bench for a while and was very busy with issues. I should be able to come back hopefully in the next contest and get back to the bench again Sorry and of course I will vote b

Hello all, I am back after such a long absence due to many challenges.. and of course covid 19 that got me tied to my house. Its a good time for me to do some few things at a time.. so right now, I am working on interior parts for the car, its a big challenge figuring out how to put in and how to shorten up and all that. after I bought the parts from e bay, a seller had number parts of a 57 chevy interiors which is a perfect donor parts. Rather than buying a kit and taking out parts.. then you end up having too much in stash. I try to avoid getting too many parts in a box and send it to recycle if i never get to use it. so I took out a dash from that parts ... and have to shorten the distance to fit in the car... as it has all the parts i need all together there. then tested to fit and it works. I then moved on to a different area working on door... its a tough one.. Naturally the side door is smaller than the other kit interior but I take the advantage to take the window handles and arm side of the interior so i cut to fit the side door, still am working on it.. Then on I have an argument in my brain trying to decide which seat I can use... I took this pink chair from a 59 cadillac kit.. as an extra option so it suit really well on this car and comparing to the original seat for this 57 chevy, I would have to cut and trim the seat and fix to fit in ... So tell me which you think should suit well and it would be some what a classic hot rod tho.. this is as far as I go for now and it will be a very slow process as I am still dealing with several challenges espcially covid 19 and other issues. More to come soon....

Hey guys, continuing the progress.... I started the floor plan of the chassis for the seat to put in. comparing these two seats, I want to put the traditional bench seat there but after experimenting and testing. it is too big to fit in and will take a lot of adjustment cutting up and reducing the size. and putting it on , then it would be too close to the pedal if i install them. So, I decided for the pink seats and it works well and I am able to " slide " back and there is plenty of rooms in front seat where the pedals can show. Then after testing to fit, it didnt work, I had to remove the front part of the floor to make room... I then used the small amount of sculpy to cover some gaps in the corner of floor and create a better hump on back of the seat area after I added the scraps to create better space for the pedals. HOPEFULLY! Hmm not bad for now.. still working adjusting so here to give you an idea... More to come.....

Wow , that is really looking great already ! I'm really looking forward to see the finished build. I dont think I would have to patience to even try what you've done to that little kit - At least the reissued kit has better plastic ; if even looked at the original Revell metalflake plastic it would crack !
