I'm pretty sure I'm gonna enter one contest or the other; I'm just not 100% sure which, right now. I'm still going through my extant kit stash, and ordering some Weird-Ohs kits I don't already have. Will be better able to visualize what I want to do, and see if certain kits are "scale compatible," when the new stuff arrives. You’re a mad scientist !! Can’t wait to see your project 👍🤘👊 |

I'm still playing around with my options, in my head, but the more I'm thinking about it, I'm tempted to do multiple builds; with the Weird-Ohs contest (being that it is a shorter deadline) being used as motivation to get some stalled stuff actually done-and-shown; and with the longer-term (Trick Or Toons) contest maybe being used for "fresher" or more complex stuff, that's likely to take me longer to accomplish. Either way, it sounds fun and motivating ... so thanks for running this pair of contests, guys! |

Dumb question(s):
Would a "Weird-Ohs Never Was" kit be "legal" for this contest? Not something made up by me, but one of the "official" ones, as documented in (part 6, I think, of) the "Weird-Ohs World" book on Bill Campbell's work?
Given the timing, etc., this is just a "maybe" as far as me doing it, but the idea keeps popping up in my head (instead of the far more sensible "finish off some stalled projects" idea) and I can't shut the idea up, so what I'm specifically asking about is a scratch-built version of the "Kommander Dunkvasser" figure, with a mostly-submerged submarine and a simulated-water base. (With the main hull under water, but with two-thirds of the conning tower or sail or whatever it's called, visible above the water's surface.)
I may "be sensible" and "just" finish off some of the prior / stalled stuff from my stash, but hadda ask.

I just realized that we're down to FOUR WEEKS left !!

Hello everyone,
Its my disappointing news to let you all know that I have to step back from this contest due to a family emergency. This will require me a long periods of handling and care of my family member. I want to wish you all good luck running the contest and hope one of the winner enjoys the new prizes.
