COOL , love the engine ! And I use tacky glue all of the time . Not just on my Toons but on other models too , no chance of screwing up a paint job when attaching parts to a painted body .

Thanks guys. I love making these engines, and getting Ken's one lunger just about ready to gas up and make some smoke! 😄 Recycling the centers from the balsa wood slicks sidewalls, I glued them together with the sandable TiteBond wood glue, drilled a hole through it, and starting to form a Stinger muffler. Yeah it's rough, but Ken's a rough customer, so it's all good. Let's see.... sparkplug in ✔- exhaust header in ✔- intake manifold in ✔- and piston and con rod, not visible but ✔. Ok! Just about ready for some Hi-Temp paint. Oh yeah! It's a really hot RedHead engine! No wonder Ken is A#1 😎 He even has an ultra light balsa wood block! (Ok Ken- gotta get back to work) Thanks for looking everyone. As always- stay 'Tooned! 🤗

Lookin good! Ken's pose is perfect.
And the cart (at the moment) reminds me of the one my older brothers were trying to put together in our basement. An all bent or distorted pipe frame, with nothing connected (couldn't get my dad to allow a blow torch). And some pedal car wheels. They never even got to the motor part.

Thanks guys 🤗 That might be what I am doing here Plasti.... reliving my yout, building my own cart with what I got. I don't have a blowtorch either though 😄 Cool story man 😎 Alrighty, Ken is keeping the pressure on me, but he's letting me post some pics here.... 😁 Fabbed him up a SuperCube Carburetor, and installed the very cool HOTBOX ignition unit. All made from recycled oatmeal boxes 😀 Had some fun fabbing up the engine mounting plate, and got the scrub brakes installed. I'll adjust them later. Started Ken's seat, and all he wants to do is complain about the color..... Better watch it Ken: I made you, and I can destroy you... 😂😂 No appreciation for some fine sealed and smooth balsa wood? You wanna sit on that thin flimsy fake aluminum? Huh?..... 😄 There- still not happy? No? NOW what? Pedals? Come on man.... I'm working on them..... geez.... 🙄😂 Happy now? Ok guys, thanks for looking as usual. Stay 'Tooned! 😎

Thanks as always guys 🤗 Work continues.... Got a gas tank fabbed up. Layers of balsa wood, sealed with TiteBond wood glue. Really lucked out with the spark plug wire and boots. Nice piece of wire from I can't remember where, inserted into a piece of styrene tubing and heat shrink tubing snuggled down.... A Photoshopped X-ray view of how I did it..... And it works! 🤗😂😂 Safety First Ken- can't have sparks and gas tank together..... 😄 Also got the steering fabbed up.... And here's Ken with his steering- uncovered and covered. As always, many more WIP pictures in my Fotki: public.fotki.com/JohnFleischman/weirdoh-type-models-/crazee-ken-carter/#mediaAnd also as always- thanx for looking, & stay 'Tooned! 😎
