I built this Mater 1/25 scale tow truck when the first Cars movie came out and they released the die-cast cars to go with them. I picked up the new Mater version and wanted to make a model of it. Although not perfectly an "exact" replica of Mater, it was still a fun build just to see if I could do it. I used a 55 Cameo pickup cab as a base and then used a diecast tow truck bed and frame for the rest. I used magic-scuplt two part epoxy clay to hand form the mouth and teeth area and then glued that to the cameo front end and blended it all together, shot it all light blue.
