PLASTIC SURGEON!Seating in the FUTURAY is much more reclined than the Futura, so some modifications are needed! I cut the backs of the Man's knees with a razor saw, just enough so I could bend them forward. I separated the Woman's left foot from her right leg and then I cut the back of the right knee.  I fit them in the interior and then I glued the knees in the new positions.  Next I trimmed the knees to shape, added putty and sanded them smooth...  More Coming...

I completely forgot the Futura had figures with it , they're pretty good !
The girl's got a nice Star Wars looking uniform !

PAINTING THE PEOPLE!I stuck the people on chop sticks with 2-sided tape. The sticks make it easy to hold the figures while painting. Then I sprayed them with white lacquer primer.  I used water-based acrylics to paint the figures. Then I sprayed them with Dull Coat.  I used "The Detailer" Black Wash, diluted a little with water, on the figures. This brings out the details, like in the folds in the clothes or skin...  More Coming...

LAST FEW DETAILS...Well the Futuray is almost Finished! I painted the interior with Water-Based Acrylics. I was so happy when I dropped a wet brush on the wing and the white splash just wiped off with water!  I added a Wide Screen Monitor where the steering wheel shaft used to be. The Monitor is made from a License Plate Frame, with the recessed area painted black. I think the passengers are on auto-pilot now...  The Bubbletop is my favorite part in this kit. Here it is the after I applied Bare Metal Foil. Finishing the last few details on the Futuray!  Finished Photos Coming Soon...

I totally agree with Tooold about the quality level of the Futura figures. I would put them similar to Preiser G scale figures. Like the chop job to make them fit. She works well with what she is wearing but he is kinda "preppy". Just had a nasty thought, she could be the pilot and he could be "ABDUCTED BY ALIEN SPACECRAFT", how 50's would that be.......................
