My latest score ..a snap -fit “The HOMER” .. to be honest even though it was already built I have plans of disassembling, painting and rear-assembling .. a little disappointed in how “clunky” it goes together .. That should be fun ! I've looked at these a few times and figured it was a typical Japanese kit , neat looking and on the small side . On the contrary!!! This thing is more like 1/20 or 1:16th !!

I dig the box art! That looks like a fun build! My old pal John Dietrich did the box art and sculpting , Larry Krauck cast it .. this has been in my radar for years .. it’s like finding the pit of gold at the end of the rainbow ... !

Are you gonna do a resin copy of the original?

Are you gonna do a resin copy of the original? First of all it would be awesome to make Copies , but there are 4 people that were involved in the original project so written permission would be absolute paramount.. secondly the cost of materials to do a project like this is an easy $2,000-$2500 to do it properly .. pressure pot , vacuum pot, 2-stage vacuum pump , gloves, mixing sticks, microwave, digital scale, then mold making supplies , casting resin , mold release , making of mold boxes and so I and so forth .. there’s ALWAYS a significant amount of wasted products, short shots , parts that have voids for whatever reason .. all this PLUS your time of designing molds etc I think you’d be hard pressed to even break even.. so at this point due to the funds that WOULD BE required and courtesy to the original artists involved ,I’m not going to take advantage of the guys who have already put all this forward .. but what a great project and collaboration process this must have been .. !

If you've got an Ollies nearby, you might find one of these on the cheap!
Not much more than a snap kit for juniors, but well made, and mostly pre-painted.
