This one required a lot of sanding as the glue had turned brown after 40+ years !

Little red Zinger , paint is Testors custom Lacquer red and clearcoated

Super Dune Zinger, Testors paint again with a clearcoat. This was another of my favorites in the series.

And since I'm sure you're getting bored with my Zingers, Here's My Dune Rat. Blue plastic polished, rims are painted a dull aluminum. All stock except the steering wheel ,which was long gone. A big Thanks to Chuck for making a resin copy of my one headlight and taillight ,and also to the Count, who supplied me with the front bumper or this kit would have never been built !

No sandbagging, just very busy building LOL !! I should have posted some earlier, but in all honesty ,the deadline came up faster than I thought, so I took all the pics last night and posted them. I still have one more that I hope to get done in time.

YELLOW SUBMARINE

A cartoon submarine meant to be assembled as a bathtub toy. Wheels, crank, quick sink holes eliminated.



Painted in 1 shot lettering enamels, very glossy stuff.

Mounted like all "museum quality" vessels.

Deal's Wheels Baja Humbug restoration
Heres my final entry, just got it finished in time. This car was an old build up I picked up at a show. It was painted with a brush, but it was mostly complete . The glass was a headache ;I had to cut it out of the body. The body was stripped, primed and stripped again as the first color was too dark. Paint is Testors custom Lacquer Star Spangled blue over a silver base and then clearcoated .The decals that looked iffy turned out to be very good, with no bleed through on the white. You just had to cut tightly around them . This is a really cool kit , Dave really gave it the Baja look ,its really a shame it hasn't been reissued ( yet !)

Love that blue color and I'm glad the decals worked okay . Great model !
I'm hoping it's on the short list to be reissued .

Maybe with a little computer magic ? I'm pretty much computer illiterate ,but I'm sure it could be done !
