So while I'm still stoked by takin' the lil blue truck to NNL East and haven a blast with it...I started a boat build. It started as Leaky boat Louie's boat. So far it's narrowed, an Evergeen Styrene deck added, engine from Roarin Rail. The plan is to put it on a scratch built trailer. If time permits a tow vehicle also. Thats a huge engine for that boat! I am sure all the fish might have to run away from it once they hear it roars. Ride on..

I really like the engine from the Roarin' Rail but I don't want to break up the few kits that I have. So a phone call to Smooth-On for castin' stuff and Chris the tech guy hooks me up with the stuff needed. A stop at AC Moore for some foam board, steal my wife's hot glue gun... I can't believe that I never casted parts before this. With the cast engine a couple parts from a Hemi Hydro glue bomb I'm on my way again ... Attachment Deleted

Now that's what I'm talking about !! This is going to be one bad drag boat !! Smooth-on is all I use... It actually works the way it's supposed to !! They have all types of durometer levels of materials... Even some flexible enough to make tires and it comes is various colors ..

Kinda some progress on the boat build...not the boat itself but, the boat needs a trailer and tow vehicle. As you know from all of my questions I've been messin' with castin' parts. The cartoon kits have smaller front tires than I like. I used the tires and wheels from the Super Taxi and change their sizes a bit. I need the tires to start mockin' up the trailer and tow vehicle. The masters are done now I gotta make the molds. Attachment Deleted

Thanks Guys...I get a lot of inspiration from you guys it would be fantastic to me to be able to inspire others. This resin castin' is really fun. I have the wheels and tires cast for this build so I'm done with e castin' for now. That bein' said I'd like to find some big block Chevy valve covers about an inch long to cast. I got the trailer pretty much figured out. So now I'll get back on the boat while thinkin' up a tow vehicle. Attachment Deleted

Give me the dimensions of the valve cover area on your boat and I'll do some digging to see if I've got what you need..
