If you are going to mention the Monogram and Revell and Aurora books by TG then you have to mention the best model book of all which is Classic Plastic. See what has been made as kits so you can get some great ideas from all sorts of weird figure and monster kits. I find this my number one "go to" book. Every modeler should have a copy of that! Plus some great early style hot rod monster stuff from one of the originators - Monte. Hmmm ... I'm not seeing anything (immediately, anyway) but a lot of false hits, for "Classic Plastic" over on Amazon. It sounds like a very cool book. Got any more info about that one, Mister Fletch? (ISBN number, publisher, year, author's name ... anything??)

Coolness, Mister Fletch! Excellent, and very helpful! Thanks!! Switching subjects, a slight bit ... One reason I went into so much detail (back in 2015: yikes!) when this thread first started, about each book, was so that people could do things like look a particular book up on a place called "World Cat" www.worldcat.org/Which is, as they call it, "The World's Largest Library Catalog". If it's a popular enough book, they will list a bunch of libraries that have a copy ... and some of them have a cool program that not everyone knows about, which is (at least at my local library) called and "Inter Library Loan". Which means I can pay my local library a few bucks (to help them cover postal costs, since one library is mailing stuff to another library; then, it has to be mailed back to place of origin) and in a few weeks or whatever, they loan me a book that (in some cases) costs a fortune to buy; and/or my local library does not have. I've gotten all kinds of "sneak peeks" at super expensive books, that way. I have borrowed really expensive books about Ed Roth, that way ... the first volume of Dirty Donny's art ... some pinstriping books ... and yada yada blah blah ... and more recently, five books about tiki stuff. If you reader types aren't already familiar with "Inter Library Loans," go check with your local library!
