Not a Cartoon , but a cartoon model - remember these guys?

Found this guy at a Goodwill store , still sealed . Original 1977 cost - $2.99 at Bradlee's dept. stores . He's a cartoon right ? I remember my best friend and I getting a couple of these guys and building them ; we must have been really bored as we were 14 at the time . Easy to build, and they do shoot things off like their fists, etc. I never understood WHY they came out though, it seemed the kits appeared without any advertising, no TV shows or toys, and then they just faded away.I still think its cool that this one survived intact after all these years. If he doesn't fit this site, feel free to delete it !

I've never seen one of these before ! Pretty cool looking and with "Flying Fists" too !
Kinda reminiscent of the Japanese shows of the 60's (Ultraman , Gigantor , etc . . .)


I just checked ebay and found several of them , if you only spent a few bucks for it you got a deal !

I couldn't help but think maybe,just maybe  a writer of the CBS Show "The Big Bang Theory" didn't have this kit,and do a little uhhhh creative borrowing and changing one letter to create Sheldon's famous saying!!!! (His saying is pictured below):
