Well I got this far with my Contest Entry. I am going to work on the Deals Wheels Van model kit but add Wallace and Gromit to the mix and try and make it a Cartoons Hot Rod of the Anti-Pesto Van! (Yah we will see how that goes) Anyway here is the initial picture of the model kit in its Raw Form progress pictures to follow................ Deals Wheels Project by Aaron Olmsted, on Flickr

Aahhhh, then you guys that are new to that style of animation / those writers / etc., most likely REALLY don't want to know that in addition to the very short films with those fun characters in it, there's also a whole Shaun the Sheep cartoon show series ... and a more-or-less full length, regular movie with Wallace and the brains of the outfit? (Or should I have said "spoiler alert!" before I mentioned any of that?!)

I have wondered if you all have seen a movie back in the past called Chicken Run... which is also animated and I thought it was funny. Any one of you had seen once?

I have wondered if you all have seen a movie back in the past called Chicken Run... which is also animated and I thought it was funny. Any one of you had seen once? The same people that did Chicken Run are the same claymation artist that did Wallace and Gromit. If y'all have not seen the Wallace and Gromit Movie "The Wrong Trousers" you need to watch it, I think its the funniest one of the shows. Oh and Just got my custom Decals all printed up and will be ready for the Van once I get it put together. Want to give them plenty of time to set before I have to apply them.

Knowing what to choose based on experiences adding and editing the model cars with several options helps make a better decision by the way, if any of you never seen that movie Chicken Run, heres a trailer to give you an idea... www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVdlxwX6A7g

Van build 2 by Aaron Olmsted, on Flickr A little more work done. This has been the hardest part to get Wallace and Gromit to fit into the front. There is not a lot of room even though its a van! I heated up Gromit's arms to move them around to fit. I took Wallace and used the arms from the original van figure and will take an use milliputty to make arms that fit Wallace better (with sleeves and such) so that it all fits as well in the front. I have also done a lot of cutting and modifying on the chassis itself to fit the figures into the front almost as much cutting and hacking on the figures. Thanks goodness for the Dremmel tool it saves a lot of elbow grease! Once I get the putty on and shaped the way I want it on both figures and a little more detail done to the Cab I will then prime it for the paint for both the figures and chassis. Then move on to the body. I already have the Custom Decals printed out and clear coated for the finish look.

After I posted the last picture I just hated the look of the arms with the steering wheel! My wife said it looked stupid and well I value her opinion. So my OCD kicked in and I used the Wallace arms and cut and hacked away to make them fit. I am going to add a Steering wheel from another model and go from there.
