A Very Rare Dune Rat

A while ago I acquired this Dune Rat molded in orange with white parts , it was incomplete but in great condition and the tail was unbroken !
I figured the chances of finding the white parts to finish this Dune Rat would be next to impossible so casting them in white resin seemed like my best option . So now it's complete and may not be 100% original but it looks great in the display cabinet !

Looks perfect! One because it seems came out of a box with white rims etc, and second because it mach the VW in your profile picture!

The white parts were apparently a one-off run of kits in the late 70's , including the ThunderBug , Dune Rat , Boss Mustang , and Screamin Vette .
Now I have two of them and I know where there's a Boss Mustang , but I doubt I'll ever work a deal for it .
