Gonna try making a scratch built body of this version and combine the Deals wheels style in with the car. With the hope I can succeed in making it a very different version.   I created a body of this model car and am working on building a body ....  I use the candle to warm up the plastic to bend and hopefully create shapes.  |

Great fabrication, and "torch" work man!
I thought the top picture was paper. That's how I start, using poster board to mock up, then transfer to the plastic.

I originally started off with the paper and transferred to the plastic. So you were right as we all normally do to work on projects. I am getting parts by parts all together to make a body... and then on with the rest. will follow more soon |

Putting pieces together to get a better picture of what it can be... the engine is from an old salvage kits of phony car, as long as it is from deals wheels... Wheels and the headlights are from 1 16 scale kit... some of the pieces on body are still on hold as waiting for the glue to dry  |

Nice work on the body Brian ! I like the front spokes you're using , I found that the 1/16 scale wheels fit real nice in the DW tires .  |

My mistake, the front wheels are from 1/25 scale wheels, not 1/16. Oops

Been hunting for wheels to blend with the car... Finally found one 1 18 scale gmp wheels... stole them from the set and had to cut and modify the tires.. Finally it fits right.. looks perfect.  Now working on scratch building a chassis, and parial of parts for engine... now in gluing and going to do a lot of sanding and working on all ... Getting there  |

Testing fitting... hmm not bad... maybe have to paint the rear wheel to brighten up the color... probably silver... hmmm ......  |
