I just hot rodded these two over the weekend during the snowstorm. No painting needed as all I did was put giant bigs and littles on them. Just lots of grinding and cutting with the Dremel tool. The 1/64th one is an old Johnny Lightning diecast and the big 1/18 scale van is a plastic toy that had a battery powered motor. Both sets of new big & little wheels were from Muscle Machines so they match. Those wheels sure change the attitude of the van.]

Those wheels really do change the whole look of the van ! I've seen several of the model kits built but I've never done one . . . might have to change that !

Hey Bob, Just in case you might want to try the Muscle Machine wheels under the Polar Lights kit - it won't work - I tried. The PL kit is only 6 inches long and those MM wheels are just too huge. The 1/18 scale Mystery Machine is 9 inches long and the wheels just fit perfect. But a whole bunch of other cool huge wheels fit under the PL kit like the ones from the Eye Gone Wild kit. I used some old Roth monster kit wheels and they work pretty cool.
