Thanks for giving us a "first look" at the contents of this kit,Bob....
I asked about this kit at our local Hobbytown ... they told me it would cost $33 plus tax. That price seemed a little high to me (full blown retail,or MSRP),and they had NONE on order....I think I'll wait to see if Hobby Lobby sells 'em,and use that reliable 40% off coupon for it should they end up selling it!!!! Got my fingers crossed!!!

Wow that seems pricey , but I guess figuring shipping it's about right . I paid $22.29 each + $8.50 shipping at Hobbylinc.com but by buying two of them the shipping was only $9.44 for both . That's $27 which sounds about right fro MSRP . I stay away from the local Hobby Town because they are always much higher than MSRP . Good luck with Hobby Lobby , ours is an hour drive and they never have new releases so I quit even trying .

$33.00 plus tax at my LHS - they have them in stock, but I cant pay that much for a new kit, much less such a simple kit to build . As much as I'd like to patronize the hobby shops, it comes down to lowest price gets my business. Honsetly, if it was a buck or two difference I'd pick one up , but when its up to 7 or 8 bucks I have to draw the line

Bob, To put this in perspective for me....I bought 3 models at a model car swap meet here South of Indy last weekend for the price of one of these (meaning Der Beetle Bus plus tax.)The three models that were purchased you ask??? Monogram's "Super Fuzz" (sealed) Roth's "Beatnik Bandit 2" (sealed) And a wonderful builder I needed parts for,a Tom Daniel "California Street Vette" I'm not knocking the kit,or the fact it hasn't been available in decades.....Just putting it into a financial perspective for me personally. Todd P.S. I did go to said swap meet looking for a Der Beetle bus with the hopes of finding one cheaper than Hobbytowns price, but nobody had one to sell
