The idea of creating some sort of a Members gallery was brought up a few months ago , and then was quickly forgotten about . Well I didn't completely forget about it and after seeing modelcarfan's post of his DW collection I've decided it's time to rethink it ! The general idea is to have each member create a thread to post his model collection (Toons ONLY!) in one place . There would be a limit to the number of photos per model and I'd also like to limit any descriptions to just the basics (what kit is it , when was it built ,etc...) . Completed models and glue-bombs , or parts cars that need restoring , would be allowed and you could also post a link to the thread if it's already in the Finished section . The last item is posting replies/comments to the photos . I'm starting to lean towards allowing replies but can go either way so let me know what you think , along with any other comment or ideas ! I'm going on vacation for a couple of weeks but after that I'll get it started ! BOB .

Also gang keep in mind that using a photo host helps tremendously !! As a free site we are limited in band width so On occasion it's necessary to "dump" non-host posted photos with high resolution eating band width .. Not anything personal just a necessary evil to maintain the site without paying for more band width...

I think its a good idea, it could be used to inspire a new build for someone . As for me, nearly all my 'toon builds are in the completed section already , but I would love to see what all the other guys have in the their collection !

Even if you've posted them in the Finished section already you could still post a pic of each one in the gallery . Not everybody takes the time to go back through old threads .

I would love to see a member's gallery also. Unfortunately I am one of those that uses non-hosted photos. Anyone want to volunteer to post my models on their hosted site?
My wife and I tried a hosting site - Photobucket - but could not ever get the pictures to show up on this site. I don't understand computers and my wife is a genius and she could not figure it out. We even had Ira try to gently walk us step by step but something just never worked.
So anyone want to post my pix on a hosted site?

Hello guys, I do like the idea of putting in a thread strictly for pictures with a brief description of your work. Understanding that we have our limit with tbe band with as mentioned in the forum. There is one option I can throw in. if you have completed a new model car or more.. then you can rearrange and photoshoot them including new ones and replace with the one you posted up. I think that would help making the postings in picture a minimal rate. I would do that when I create a new model or a few.
I am sure as Chuck explained that some of the old thread be removed in the future to save some space for new ones.. so this is one reason I thought would be great if we can combine all the works in one picture and then put in a description. If they want to ask, they can always ask in message. The builders would be kind to send some info to help with whatever is needed.
If you are a computer savvy and know some tips then you can photoshop the pic into a combine group and post it up as one picture. That's another option. I did with my thread and realized it works really well.

Photos of a 'Collection' such as the DW collection you posted are great , I'll probably do the same with some of my TD snappers since they are all basically the same just different colors . But editing a bunch of photos of one model into a single collage type of photo won't be allowed . I like doing this too , but multiple photos of any model belong in the "Finished Car-Toons" category . Also if you've built a new model it should go in one of the "Finished" categories , then you could post a photo with a link in your gallery . The reason for limiting the number of photos per model in the gallery is so it doesn't become a "catch-all" and replace the other categories . That's the last thing we want to happen .
