Just got mine in the mail today. Got the body glued so now I can look at it to decide what to do with it. Attachment Deleted

Okay...this morning I got a new cowl fabbed up from a space station part I think. Filled in the holes for three of the five wings as I am making it into a short & stubby biplane. Found some cool gypsy wagon-style wheels in two sizes. I like the smaller size the best. Attachment Deleted

More primer & putty, primer & putty. Whole lot of huge sink holes in this kit! A few pieces got a base coat of paint. Now I have to take a week off - hopefully I can get back to work on this next Monday.Attachment Deleted

Okay - after a week away I got the prop and cowl finished and wheels & tail wheel too. Had the pilot figure in my parts box for over 30 years - fits just right. Attachment Deleted

Nice wood grain on the prop , I've never tried that before now and it's really not as hard as I thought .

Got tons done since yesterday - almost finished. Just have to complete the pilot and glue the top wing on and add a little weathering. Added an exhaust pipe off the bottom of the cowl like so many bi-planes have. Added some patches (decals) to the "fabric" body and wings. Added a couple more struts to the upper wing.
PS to Tooold: That woodgraining is real easy and fast! Just pick a nice yellowish or very light brownish gloss base color and then semi-dry brush the brown acrylic woodgrain with a crappy brush. Done in seconds. Coat with gloss. Attachment Deleted
