Two years ago I built the AMT 1955 Chevy Nomad. If you don't already know this kit has poor fit and monster flashing. youtu.be/HFc_qCU4nv0
It was made to give to my father for Christmas. I went with red and white roof, wreath on the grill, presents on the fold down tail gate and a bottle brush tree strapped on top.
He loved it, only so did my wife.
Last year I made a Ford model T Snowflyer. That was sold to a very nice man who has 2 model T and an A. www.modeltfordsnowmobile.com/
He loved it, only so did my wife.
I was able to build it with one one kit the AMT 1925 Ford "Tall T" Kit and this pic I found online i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u385/jwitz1891/sno%20mad/483308_zpsmbbha68z.jpg
Always loved the Snowflyers. Most of us Toon-heads remember the one "S.D." Kluger (Fred Astaire) drove as the mail man in the 1970's 'Santa Claus is coming to town', yep the one that Mickey Rooney voiced Santa.
So now the plan---
I have most of a Gomad I used for parts, Modelcarfan sent me a Deal's head and hand and i have left over skis from the "Hot rod hydro". I will make a Snowflier/Go-Mad or Snō-Mad for my wife to keep.
Obstacles
1. I can only build when my wife is out or she will catch on. This means all must be cleaned up and stashed, very time consuming.
2. I work on a small desk in the spare bed room. As it is the time of year for others to come and stay or drop by or whatever, I had to give up my work space.
3. I have to time share my temporary work space with the cat. I'm using the top of a big cardboard box.
More soon, thanks.
