question about 3D printing

I am wondering if you all have tried using 3d printing to create few parts or modification to add on to the model building?

If you all do, I wonder which is the best brand and what type I can find and would perhaps like to buy one myself sometimes in the future. I would also wonder what software you use to accompany the printer to work with?

I've bought some 3D printed parts from a couple of vendors and they're really nice , and I think reasonably priced .
As far as buying a printer and software to do it myself ? For the quality of parts I'd like to achieve it's way out of my hobby budget . . . not gonna happen .

There are TOMS of various printers on the market.. but what is state of the art today is old news tomorrow as fast as this field is moving .. I purchase either from SHAPEWAYS or TDR Innovations .. first class top of the line parts made to order..after all... they have printed parts for The U S Space Station ..🚅👍
