This character is cracking me up .......I can already picture him with a controller in hand, nice going Chuck! He kinda reminds me of one of those little wind up walking toys, but with an attitude.

Chuck, you might try some "super sculpee" for any modifications or to build body parts for these figures. I use it a lot. I've used regular sculpee for years, but the super is better, and it's flesh colored! You can get it at Michaels. Sonny was just telling me about a new clay that air dries that's supposed to be awesome, but I don't have the name yet. (Sculpee has to be baked at 150* to harden, so any add-on would have to be seperated from your styrene and then super-glued in place and filled later.)
This is a great idea! Awesome work so far!

Yep, Super Sculpey is good stuff....I prefer the gray "extra firm" type myself. It bakes at 275........I have a toaster oven in my hobby room, the old woman had a fit about me putting my toys in the kitchen oven.

Waiting on Sculpty to dry ..... updated photos coming later ! ;D Hang in there Chuck........push back from the workbench and do some ciphering, perhaps with a nice cold beverage. If you stare at it long enough it'll begin to talk to you...hee, hee! Believe it or not, talking calming with your models is good for the soul.

8/19/12 update.. still waiting on Skulpty to dry but thought I'd snap a few rough photos ... still tweeking the helmet although I did close it up around his ears and trim more off the front .. reposed a straight thumb for a bent one and removed a straight index finger and wrapped it around with the other fingers .. some light sanding will be in order as soon as the Skulpty is dry.. I also bent his left arm vs. leaving straight and pinned the arms .. it's slowly starting to look like a "human" .. Ha! .. oh.. still messing with my new camera so I appologize for the poor pics ..

Chuck, I'm confused (not unusual), you've mentioned a couple of times you're waiting for sculpy to dry? What's up with that? Are you not using the type that you bake to harden?
