If two scoops are good, then four must be better. I also added a hood tachometer and a pair of rear quarter scoops. Rear quarter scoops where a dealership option that you had to ask for but they never advertised them, so we don't see to many on the road. Doing some small prep to get this bird ready for paint. The paint I have chosen is a Chevy color but I think it will work; I had a 1975 454 Chevy Nova, Tomato red (orange). I don't own the car any more but I do own a full can of GM Tomato red touch up paint. Yes Tomato is to bright, I am hoping the brown rust coating will give it a darker look.

Y'all might think I'm a big geek but this is some of my favorite reading. pontiacformula.free.fr/schema/W72.pdfYes the author has the same name as me and the material as actually about the 77-79 T/A 6.6 Trans-am, like the bandit's car. This is THE book on rebuilding your 77-79 Trans-am, worth a read if you have the time. For this build I really only used the history portion to get the feel for the 70's Chicken.

This is as close as I could get to Pontiac's 70's orange; Carousel red using Chevy Tomato red. I think a good helping of gloss would make it pop, I'll try to work on that later today.

The color looks good to me ! That Carousel Red / Hugger Orange always looks different in photos anyway . I've tried to match it for another build I have in progress and it seems there is no correct color . . . sometimes it looks orange and sometimes it really looks red . The exact paint color is available from Testors/Model Master if anybody else is looking for it .

I think with some blue highlights and decals it will look orange.

Thank Y'all! Body needs a few minor things painted (door handles) before gloss. I chose to go with a set of glitter bug rims, just cause I could. I'm having fun with this build, but it will be on hold for a week or so. I have urgent family business in Florida and will then rent a car and travel to Arlington national cemetery for Memorial day. while there I hope to catch the changing of the guard and will pay respects to both of my grandfathers, Both of whom fought in WWII. Y'all enjoy your holiday weekend, have fun in the sun, be safe and happy!
Back soon Jonathan

Got a great look goin on there, Jonathan!
I remember that issue has some soft, slightly warped tires. Might use some card or pvc tube inside to shore them up.
