We Need Your Help !

It's never a good time to ask for money but It has to be done .
We've been fortunate to always receive enough donations to put on contests and be able to cover the costs but right now our Car-Toons PayPal account only has $7.56 in it . So we need your help !

You should know that all donations received are used to pay shipping costs , and to buy a prize whenever I come across a good deal . I've gone back through my receipts and since we started holding contests three years ago I've spent $280 on shipping charges . As for the prizes , some I bought but most of them were donated by our members . There are other costs too , including boxes and packing materials , printer ink , and my time .

There's already been ideas tossed around for another contest , and we will have one soon ! Some may say that prizes aren't necessary , but I think that they are . They add some incentive to a contest and that just adds to the fun !

So please help and donate to our fund today . And if you have duplicates of a Toon kit and can spare one send me a PM for a mailing address .

I'm always on the hunt for cheap kits to add to the prize pool and I found this Bad Boy last week at the LHS .

There's been twenty-two winners (with a couple two time winners) in all of our contests , and I figure it takes $50 minimum to hold a contest . So if everyone that's won a prize were to donate ten dollars we'd be set for a while , and have enough extra to buy some prizes !
If every member who's ever entered a contest sent in five dollars we'd have even more in our kitty !

I'd like to share with you a donation I received last week from one of our members .

It's an actual "Li'l Herbie" box top that has been professionally mounted and is ready to be framed ! It measures just under 13"x 11" and is valued at $50-$65 approx .



This is a beautiful piece and would look great hanging above your work bench . It will be included with the prizes in our next contest , but we need to build up our kitty in order for that contest to happen .

I can't talk for anybody else but, paying for shipping would not be a problem. You could send the amount and money could be sent via PayPal, just a thought.
