PLEASE READ COMPLETELY !! We all know summer is a down time for modeling for most.. However we wanted to "test the waters" to see if it were conducive to do so.. we (Bob 'n me) would like have one of the biggest, best, large participant turnout contests we've ever had.. we want to MAKE IS SIMPLE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD....! We want your commitment to participate !! We want to get EVERYONE involved and keep the motivation rolling .. THIS particular contest (name and time frame to be determined) will only be judged on the basic's with no aftermarket or non-kit supplied goodies..NOW... you CAN add your touches and creativity by using EVERYTHING in the box as "extras" .. example: left over spue could be used for roll cage, ladder racks or what ever your heart desires . even the instructions and cardboard model box could be used to make parts and pieces.. OR just build the darn thing right out of the box with nothing added at all.. this contest is to support our members and get you guys building a fun little project... ok guys take some time to ponder the nuts and bolts of this contest and post your input.. we don't care if you're a lurker and it's your first time posting !!!! we want to hear from everyone to see if this is a quick, fun, doable contest. ... AND YES AS ALWAYS THERE ARE PRIZES.. ADDITION after re-reading this post in regards to using ANYTHING kit supplied, I think using some "putty" to fill the seams is okay but using "body filler" and making modifications is not . I think it would be a great. Understanding that every one is out on vacation and all that stuff... Some times a couple of us would stay home and enjoy the summer relaxing and not travelling much. So I would go ahead and have a contest .... perhaps end the deadline in September or October as they would complete their vacation by the end of August and may as well have a little time to scram and complete a project of their own. A question. As you describe the requirements or rules for working on the project. We are limited to anything from the box with all sprues or scraps.. we can use sprues to fill some gaps in area which is hole or something like that I wonder.... Would there be probably some modifications as removing some certain parts and so fourth ? Would a thin sheet of styrene be possible to work with? Just wondered.

We want to keep it as simple as possible meaning zero cost to build except for the kit , which w all should have already ! The best way to keep it fair for everybody is to stick to Chuck's description above , not everyone has plastic sheets and other supplies handy . Haven't decided on a time frame yet but we want to get started as soon as possible . And it will be open to any and all "Toon type kits !
