Swine Hunt. I had lost hope of finding one of these models. To be clear this is just a glitter bug with a turret. Turret came from the last build off, and I think Ward cast them. Turret fit like a glove, just needed a big gun. I took apart a marker for the gun, just kept cutting until it looked ok. Due to the turrets texture I primed the whole body with a farm implement primer that is gooey and bumpy. The primer fills large holes and prevents further rusting on you equipment. I tend to use what I have rather then going to the store, in this case the gooey, bumpy primmer worked out great. After priming I painted the body a cinnamon color.
I hated it!
I then tried to cover with a darker brown, but the can clogged and my paint job was spot at best. So I took a can of olive (not drab) and stood to far away to paint and let the wind carry the paint to the model. I had stripped the chrome off the trees and and decided not to move the body off the table while painting the de-chromed parts bronze.
I think that the body is perfect now!
Tank Commanders fuzzy helmet is the lining to an old pair of gloves. I think I found some decals that will fit.
This is a model I have wanted, but I have not had the time to build it the way I imagined. I put the parts in the box and put the box away. Yet every day I keep taking it down and "not" working/planing on it, packing it back up and putting it back in the closet. However with primer and paint laid down and drying, I am no longer able to say I'm not doing this project yet.
Thanks for look'en
