Voting will open Saturday Monday morning August 19th 21st and will close on Friday August 25th .

In case you haven't heard I moved the contest deadline to Sunday night so everybody could have the weekend to wrap up their entries .
Voting will begin on Monday morning with everybody having 3 votes . You don't have to be entered in the contest to vote , every registered member of the Car-Toons Board can vote !
All you need to do is send me a PM with your 3 votes for your 3 favorite entries . I'll add them up and forward them to our fearless leader so he can double check my math . 
Voting will run through next Friday August 25th and the contest winners will be announced on Saturday morning !

So we have 11 builds entered in the contest and we've had more than a dozen members log onto the board in the last 24 hours . . . yet only a couple members have voted .
Does everybody like to wait till the last day to vote ?
I have the voting open for 5 days because people have day jobs and can't visit every day , but if voting was only 3 days would you all vote ?
I'm just trying to figure this out . Can somebody please explain ?
Sorry for my venting but it does get frustrating .

For me I have more time during the early morning, at work could be difficult to go online. I prefer any way go online in the morning while drinking coffee... On a friend website were I was moderator, I saw that mostly of the people vote on the last day, the reason are different, some forgot, some like to wait... The big problem was to keep track of all the vote and add to the list, that website had around 50 people voting. A lot of work keeping track of all the votes, almost a job. So ve decided to end the contests on Saturdays, Sunday was the voting day and Monday the results. Seems more work to do, but at least is one day only. And a the end the voting people was the same.  I understand your frustration and thank you for doing this. |

I don't have an App for that Bob.. not sure why that is.. we put a lot of work into putting these contests on as well as the participants .. as Brizio said some do early morning while having coffee ..
Me I'm on 2-3-4-5 times through the day on my phone and in and out on my desktop or iPad in the evening.. or maybe our guys didn't realize they DO NOT have to participate to vote ..
I'm not sure but I too sense your frustrations my friend....

Was there a blanket email reminder sent out to everyone? If so then I have idea why the votes aren't there. I know its tough to pick favorites, but if you're logged in you should vote !

I voted...I only vote because I really appreciate this board and all of the people involved with it. I enjoy seein'the WIP stuff as much as the finished builds. I look at this stuff as a theme build more than a competition. For me the bad part is really a good thing. There is so much good stuff that its hard to decide. Its like lookin' at a craft beer list or menu. The more I look the harder it is to decide. On the next "theme build" I'll vote as soon as votin' opens. Thanks to all involved,Smokey

From my experience with the kayak/outdoors group that I'm in the blanket email helps very little and just uses up more time for the folks sendin'them. 4 of the 20 kayakers (12 of them are regulars)that show up are on the wrong side of the lake. Its a state park with a website. In the sign up page and in a blanket email there are descriptions(west boat ramp),GPS,a marked map and closest street address to the west side entrance road. Hey all... Forgot to post a note that I voted ... two days ago Want to appreciate you all the founders and supporters for creating this page and making our hobby more entertaining. It sure does helps us getting distracted from our daily life and work. We need some distractions for a positive outlet from stress and all unnecessarily activities in our lives.
