I was never crazy about the zingers even when I saw them at the custom car show many sunrises ago. I have come to appreciate them now though. To build one I'd have to have one and dont have any yet. You keep talkin about them and the more I see them on the board I'm thinkin'.... There is a local model show this Sunday with venders. Maybe one will show up in the "Score"section soon....Cheers,Smokey

In addition to the vintage Super Zinger FIRED UP Dodge fire truck I've got a 60's Corvette.. I've been wanting to bust it out of its original shrink wrap to see it up close and personal .. I'll post a picture of it a little later today !

I built lots of Zingers in the early 70's and have always liked them , but only built one Deal's Wheels so took me a few years to appreciate them .  It sure would be fun to get something going as a group and build a bunch of Zingers !   |

OK..What do you guys think about modifin' Zingers? Should they be built as is or is it OK to modify them?

Actually other than detailing the engines and fancy paint jobs there isn't much that can be done to them . You can always swap the body for something different . Just my opinion .  |

I say Modifiy !! Albeit engine mod's, body mod's, lights and sound boards, different tires and wheels .. heck yes !

Thanks Grumpy, I enjoyed the "Back To Basics" build and buildin' with you guys and gal. I don't think that I'll be buildin' a Zinger yet. I have a boat from the old Summer Fun contest that I need to finish. I started on a Camaro, got a pressure pot to improve casting, gathered the parts for a Firebird idea and will probably join in on the next contest 'cause it is a blast to build with you folks.
