Las Saturday I went to a model car contest/show, a the show there was different vendors with all kind of model kit related stuff. I found a Go-Mad in rough shape, it was hand painted, the glasses was foggy, there was not tires/wheels, axle etc. Pretty much only body and the interior/bottom. Price tag $15! I understand that the seller pay a fee for sell the model a the show, that he or she bought the Go-Mad somewhere, that he or she need to make a living, etc... But $15 is a lot of money for what it is, for the same price you can get it a the hobby shop.

I would say they guy may not have known the Nomad was reissued ; They did go for big bucks before that , but since it was a model show you would think the guy would have known its value now !

If its an original version of model car which is made back in 70's.. I think thats a steal. yes the new reissue price is around the same at some various locations. But technically, after the reissue kits ends its circulation, then the price will go up in time.. they would perhaps invest more in an original version in time. I have about two kits of an original version plus probably 2 reissues and i would build the reissue and not use the original one. Its an investment.

I would agree that if the body was in its original green metallic plastic with no glue marks, etc. I would say $15.00 is a steal . But a rough, hand painted one ? Plus the glued in glass is a real pain to remove on the brittle plastic the Deal's cars had , and it sounds like there was a lot of glue used ! .

I cannot tell if it was an old one or a reissue.
