I haven't been around much the last few weeks and wanted to let you know that all's good here and I'm ready to make this contest official in 3 weeks . It's been posted on a couple other boards and I'm working behind the scenes on a couple of details so we have another great contest ! As we get closer to April 1st I'll post any updates that I have . BOB .

Today I received the Snap Draggins prints signed by Jim Johnson . If you don't already know , Jim owns the company named "Good Stuff !" and he is the creator of the Snap Draggins models produced by Polar Lights .
These are printed on high quality photo paper and are gorgeous ! Each winner that picks a Snap Draggins kit for a prize will receive the companion print as a bonus !

More good news , our prizes from Revell were delivered today ! I've been told that sales of the Baja Humbug are much greater than past reissues and several vendors are already out of stock and waiting for more to arrive . When I talked to Ed last Tuesday he was going to slip us in among all those other shipments to make sure we got them . Thank you Ed !

Forgive me for being an idiot, but am I supposed to document the builds? I've already posted my intended "entries" (two of them). I've started the builds...in fact, almost completed them both. (As it happens, I have taken a few photos along the way) Is it a requirement that I post a build report and where exactly would I put it? I apologize for not understanding the normal routine of these contests...I do more gawking, than paying attention.

We do require a WIP (work in progress) thread be started for each entry , it can be a detailed thread or just a few pics to show how you build your models . Click this link and create your WIP thread there . car-toons.proboards.com/board/27/wip-car-toons

There are a few items I'd like to pass along to everybody .
First by my math , which now days is wrong way too often , we have TWENTY models entered in the contest ! WOW that's great ! Of course not all will be finished in time but just to have that many entered is quite a Big Deal .
On Tuesday we'll be at the one third point in the contest . . . 60 days to go ! I always think I have plenty of time to finish but when I look at how much time I actually spend every week at my bench , it could be a close one !
I'm changing the prize selection process just a bit . Instead of each winner (6 total !) receiving a Baja Humbug and one other kit of their choice , each winner will choose any two kits . If you don't really want a Baja Humbug you can choose two other kits , or if you want TWO Baja Humbugs you can do that too !
And the last item . I need mailing addresses for everybody who is entered in the contest . If you gave me one in the past you're good , unless it's changed . If you are entering a contest for the first time send me a PM with a current address . When the contest is over I'm not going to sit here for days (or weeks) waiting for an address to send out prizes . . . no address and your entry will be disqualified !
Back to happy thoughts . . . With all of the talent and imagination around here I know we're in for a treat ! Thanks to everybody for participating in the "Mild 2 Wild" Contest , I can't wait to see the amazing creations you all come up with !
BOB .

Just dropping off a quick note to the group - Out list has grown by leaps & bounds over the years which has brought us many talented artists and camaraderie .. Bob has been my right hand man pretty much from the start and has always went beyond the call of duty to make sure all our (his/mine) t’s are crossed and the ”i’s” are dotted .. what an amazing place with zero drama ! I know I for one have met many new modelers here and what better way to communicate than through our model building !! These contests require a lot of time and effort (and money) from shipping supplies/ shipping which aren’t donated like most prizes .. so again .. thank you once again Bob for all your loyalty, friendship and sharing your talents .. it doesn’t go in noticed .. if we need funds for shipping let me know Bob I’ll gladly donate as always!
