Happy New Year everyone ! It's time to make it official so here goes . 
The rules are pretty simple .
*1-There will be two categories :
"Mild" – Anything from box stock to slightly modified . Includes parts swaps , parts modifications , minor body modifications , etc . . .
"Wild" - Everything else !
*2-All toon-type kits are eligible . If in doubt ask .
*3-Enter as many times as you like .
*4-And this is the Big One , any new build started after January 1st and posted in a WIP thread will be eligible to enter the contest . You don't have to wait until April 1st to start your model !
The rest is the same as in past contests .
An entry thread will be started on April 1st to show what you are starting with , then a thread for your finished builds .
Voting will be held July 1st through July 7th and the winners will be announced on July 9th .
Stay tooned for contest updates and prize announcements .

Sounds good, I think I will start off with tirebird... perhaps make a small modifications. And will think of another... something that no one thought of.  |

I have a weird-ohs I could do. Just need to decide how it wants to be built; weird or box stock weird.
And I'm sure that I have seen Doe with an eye ball and that Harley Quinn bug. I think she plans to enter that / those?

I'm in. A "Mild" weird-ohs Davey with minor mods, and a "Wild" scratch built entry. This is gonna be fun! I hope the dollar store has the stuff I need for the add-ons.

I've gotten questions about what takes a "Mild" over to the "Wild" side and that really shouldn't be an issue . The two categories are just a quideline and you can enter your build in whichever one you want . So don't over think it . . . it's completely up to you ! |

First up . . . the good news is that The Baja Humbug will be released shortly and Revell has committed to sending a box of them to us . So each winner in both categories will receive a brand new Baja Humbug !UPDATE - The Baja Humbugs have arrived ! Thank You Revell !  
Along with a Baja Humbug each winner will be picking another kit from the following .
We have some Go-Mads and more Deal's Wheels !  
We have Tom Daniel Snappers ! Each Snapper given away will include a print autographed by Tom Daniel ! 
We have Zingers ! Each Zinger will also include a Denny Johnson autographed print ! 
We have Snap Draggins ! They will also include a print autographed by Jim Johnson owner of "Cool Stuff !" . Jim created the Snap Draggins ! 
We also have a few other Toons and a couple of Silly Surfers !  
And there are still more prizes that will be given away to the winners of the Zingers Contest later this year !
To everyone who has donated kits or sent money to buy kits and pay shipping costs , none of this would be possible without your help .

Where's a good place to buy a Snap Draggin kit? Evil Bay will be disappointed they can't get $500 for the Baja anymore.

That's for sure , but even with DW reissues the originals still bring big bucks ! As for finding a Snap draggin , you can search but ebay is about the only place to find one . Also you can post in the "For Sale/Wanted" section of this board with what you're looking for , you'll find that the guys here are always willing to help out ! |

I've got a small addition to the eligibility requirements that some of you may be interested in .
Since this is the first year of the "any WIP started after Jan 1st" rule , I'm going to add that any WIP started during 2017 and still in progress will be "Grandfathered" in and be eligible for the 2018 contests !
This is only for 2018 and next year we will stick to the Jan 1st rule .

We certainly hope THIS contest will get us all in the mood to clear some time out of busy schedules . A lot goes on behind the scenes to make participation fun and stilmulate our creative side!! Dig in boys and girls.. this is a feast to behold 👍

I'll enter these three but, I'm not sure which section they would go into. From last year I have the Chaparral Camaro and the Rockford Firebird builds. The funbird was started this year. This will force me to finish them...Cheers,Smokey
