[glow=red,2,300]WE'VE GOT LIGHTS!!![/glow] The stock headlights are on the left. I found the set on the right in an AMT '57 Chevy kit... I Reamed out a couple of holes for the New Headlights! Here they are in place! When I fit the Front Bumper/Grill in place, I noticed that there was a flat area above the grill...so I ground it off on a 45 degree angle.

[glow=red,2,300]INTERIOR PANELS...[/glow] I extended front of the stock Floorboard by about 3/8" with a strip of plastic. Then I cut a piece of sheet plastic to fit between the Floorboard and the Dashboard Area and glued it in place. I cut a piece of sheet plastic to go between the rear of the Floorboard and the rear edge of the Interior. I cut out 2 areas to clear the Big Slicks, then I glued it in place. Next I cut a piece of sheet plastic to go between the back of the body and the Interior Panel I just put in. Here is the Top View with all of the Panels in Place!

[glow=red,2,300]WHEEL MOUNTS![/glow] I was able to modify the stock Wheel Mounts to fit the Super Fuzz Tires! I attached the Rear Mounts on the Interior Panel as shown... I found a 16th scale 56 T-Bird Rear End that will work with a little narrowing... After fitting the Rear Slicks in place, I cut down the Rear Mounts to hold the Rear End in Place. The Front Mounts almost worked in the stock position, but I had to move them down about 1/8th inch. Then I cut plastic tubing to fit between the Mounts.

[glow=red,2,300]GASSER TUBS!!![/glow] I made Tubs for the Slicks with sheet plastic. Mr. Gasser needed a little more "Off the Bottom" to fit between the New Tubs... Here is the New Mock-Up!

Looking fantastic, Ira! You never cease to amaze.
I actually used the rear window from a 57 Vette as a front window on one of these, but it doesn't look like the position of your steering wheel hand will allow much of an angle. I'm sure you'll come up with something! ;D
Build on!

[glow=red,2,300]PAINTIN' THE BODY!!![/glow] Got some Color on the 57! I sprayed on a few coats of Tamiya "Camel Yellow"... Next I painted the Engine Area and Interior Flat Black. The Underside was then painted Flat Black too... Starting to get a Little Color going here...

[glow=red,2,300]The GASS MAN Gets Some COLOR!!![/glow] I mixed up some Purple Acrylic Paint & Brushed it on Mr Gasser. I started with a Dark Coat of Purple and then brushed on a second lighter coat of Purple. Bright Red was used for the Mouth. I painted the Hair with coats of Lemon Yellow, White & Yellow, not done yet... More coming...

I've got to work on my brushing techniques .. still trying to get the hang of the "drybrushing" .. i've got a lot of cariatures lurking in my stash but thus far they've been safe because of my fear of scrweing them up .. also lots of resins hiding there too ... he's lookin' good buddy !

[glow=red,2,300]UNDERSIDE DETAILS...[/glow] I added Traction Bars from a Polar Lights Willy Wild and a 16th scale oil pan. I also added a 16th scale drive shaft. Back View... Then I added Shocks from a 16th scale MPC Cobra.. They come in 2 pieces, so I used the small halves and glued them to the front supports. The other halves of the shocks were glued to the rear supports. The gas tank is from the Pie Wagon. Next, I need to figure out the Exhaust System...
