I just picked up a couple of these large scale (1/12) wheels at the IPMS show yesterday. Anyone know of a kit that would have wheels like this in 1/25 scale? These will be great for the rear wheels on a tooned hot rod. I know there is a set in the Revell Rat Roaster but that is basically way too expensive now. There has got to be some other kit.

Wow... cool...I haven't seen them in a 1/25 kit. Maybe a resin caster has them. They are like the real magnesium Halibrand wheels. The wheels on the Rat Roadster are the bogus new "try to look like" Halibrands. Rocket Wheels I think. Yup I'm showin' my age but I don't like some of this new CNC machined bogus copied stuff of cool old hand made stuff. Cheers,Smokey

The resin caster Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has some nice Halibrands in 1/25. He has a Fotki account for pics.

I was trying to stay away from resin wheels as I want some that are "chrome" already. A friend just told me there are some gasser kits that have them so I will search those next. I know they are out there because I used to have some in my parts box - at least they were pretty close which is good enough for me. Now I need some giant knock off caps for these babies. |

It was Ed ( Drag City ) showing some of his parts for sale. I think he makes the ones, which you seek. They aren't accepting any new members, till the current monthly contest voting is over. Anyhow, he makes some very excellent casting of Halibrands and other wheels.
