👍👍 A 'Toon with 'Tude! 😎 Didn't really notice the flattie and zoomies before Bob- I love scratchbuilding "fake" flatties.... (with apologies to our Prez 😄) Looking forward to seeing this fleshed out 😋 John I haven't built one from scratch before , luckily most of it is hidden ! I've been looking at your flathead for some inspiration and I'm ready to give it a try .

Bob, I can't describe how happy I am with this build! The styling and stance are spot on. And I'm likin' those front skinnies Love how you handled the interior tub. Not sure how Dave and Revell would have evolved it (and you've seen how I handled drop-top seating), but the body looks like they could have been molded as a one-piece. Outstanding! Thanks ! I really struggled getting it to look like this , you didn't see the 6 or 7 attempts before I got to this . And each attempt required the suspensions to be reworked ! And "If Only" Dave and Revell could could still crank out some new Deal's Wheels , with all of the Never Was models we've built just imagine what they could have done !

I managed a couple of hours working on this last week , so I figured I better post what I accomplished . Made up an engine . This is about all it needs as it will be under the hood , also started on the headers . I made the headers for my Little Rod project like this and it worked pretty good so I figured to try it again . After shaping the main pipe in a flare I cut and bent the other pipes . Then lots of tweaking to get all the pieces to fit together . Here's the engine with the headers install . After smoothing the joints with some putty I'll cut the ends at an angle .

Sir, you are a great teacher; I have no model to stick them to, but I am following your process and creating my own headers. Very cool info.
