Ya know when you have somethin' just about finished and happy with it but, there's a real little thing that you want to fix. Then that fix goes wrong... So I needed to walk away so I don't mess it up by fixin' it and figured that I write this... I picked up some Plastruct "Bondene" Styrene & ABS Plastic Solvent Cement. I like this Bondene stuff a bunch. I've mostly been usin' Tamiya Extra Thin Cement... Aargh I type too slow and I just got a work Phone call to deal with....Smokey

Hmmm.... sounds like something they teach in an anger management class🤔 "Turn slowly, and back away from the model..." 😄
I have been using that Plastruct Bondene for a few years now Smokey, and I love it, more for fabrication work than close to the end assembly.
I didn't look close enough one time when buying a new bottle at my LHS- got the Plastruct Weldene bottle. Big surprise- and nasty to my sinuses- when I opened it 😲😥 Not saying anything about the Weldene, other than my sinuses can't handle the odor, just like they can't handle superglue fumes....

I have all types of glues for a ga-zillion (is that a word?) different situations .. various CA’s , clear set glue for windows, and all types of liquid glues in various viscous .. I too get myself in trouble Smokey with a misapplication or just plain grabbing the wrong dang bottle .. I love the Bondene type as well and we all know that it can run in places it shouldn’t .. hang there - brighter days ahead Brother !!

It is always just at the finish line when stuff starts to hit the fan with me. Just a couple of weeks ago I had a bottle of The Detailer wash in my hand and gave it a shake to get the pigment mixed and the bottle burst like a squished grape. Lots of colorful swearing and a big dark wet mess resulted. On everything. And while in a panic wiping the mess up - my hand impales the Xacto knife that was laying there! Nothing like some excitement at the end of a project. So do not leave your project anywhere a liquid explosion might happen I guess is what I learned! And I really have to keep the super glue away from the bench during the final stages of my builds. For some reason it is attracted to my fingers and my glued fingers are just attracted to the kit I am building! Oh... how about when the glue bottle tips over on what you are working on. Weird.

There was no anger or frustration in my walk away. I just talked myself out of maybe makin' something worse by bein' too critical. That little scratch that most others won't notice potentially would have became a more noticeable smudge...I've been thinkin' about makin' a weathered, worn, road trashed "end of race" cartoon road race car but, I didn't want to turn this one into that... Cheers,Smokey
