It may take me a while to find some of the older pics but I'll post as I find them. Unfortunately I don't own most of what I have built in the last 20 years so I have to rely on old pics. Thanks John, I got tired about 20-ish years ago with building out of the box and started doing nothing but scratch building. At first it was intimidating but I took inspiration from others mostly from the Showrod site and found out it was liberating to build something from nothing but a pile of sheet and round plastic along with my imagination.
I hope my work inspires others to build "outside the box". I'll post more as I find them.

Quite so Steve. Very liberating, the scratchbuilding, and these kind of builds grant the scratchbuilding artist unlimited artistic license 😀 I am in process, of leaving the box building behind, and my Greasy Gary's Highboy contest entry, elsewhere here, was 100% scratchbuilding, utilizing vacuforming and making the masters for the parts I vacuformed. I did use the tip of a felt tip marker cap for the radiator cap, and 3 of 4 parts box Cibie lights for a 4x4 for the basis of the triple carbs on the flathead. Everything else was fabricated by me, using the styrene sheet and tube stock, and balsa wood. So much fun. Thanks for posting your schtuff and hope you continue. 😎 John
