Hello all... I have come across a couple of you tube videos with ideas of how to paint metal flake on the body of a model car.... I have some hesistation to try this ... I am wondering any of you all experienced doing the heavy metal flake or extreme metal flake work on body of cars? I have come across a couple of videos and this one kind of convinced me to try one thing.. check this and let me know what you all think ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=guDVahZcjUEI bought one of the bottle to do some experiment and see if it works. If you all have any better ideas, drop in and would like to hear b

Yes .. I’ve done bits and pieces oN the RACE project.. there’s all different sizes of flake depending on the size the project. I’ve done a couple 8th scale bodies with stunning success .. the flake is just another step.. I mix it in my clear and apply it over my color coat.. primer, base coat ifndoing Kandy paint , then flake in the first coat of clear followed by numerous coats of straight clear to bury the flake .. wait 18-24 hours and ultra-fine then buff .. waiting more Than 24 hours makes sanding and buffing tougher once the clear fully hardness .. car-toons.proboards.com/thread/1390/race
