The Origins of The Polar Lights Snap Draggins

I recently acquired this "Drag-Toons Bad Boy" made by The Good Stuff and thought I'd share it with you . This is one of the resin kits created by Jim Johnson and Jim Kampmann and later sold to Polar Lights . You can see the original artwork was used by Polar Lights they just cropped the bottom of it . While not as complete as the PL kits this resin body is much crisper and more detailed than the styrene version .

I'm currently gathering more info on all of the "Drag-Toons" and will be adding them to the List and Box Art threads .

So..... with a crisper cast was this done by modifying an original PL body then re-casting ?? Just curious!!

This is the original . They mastered it then cast and sold these kits for several years before eventually selling the rights to Polar Lights .
The PL body just doesn't look as nice , plus they removed all of the Chevy emblems !
