I had an extra VW Structo two-wheeler toy hanging around so I gutted it yesterday and this is what I have so far. These tires really fit. No real direction yet. Probably put a little hot rod monster inside.

For the monster driver I thought I would try to use the baby face that came with the Drag Hag kit since I had a couple. It is a flat face so I sawed off the face of a clown I had and stuck it on there. Added some teeth,ears and removed the baby bonnet. Added a nose too. Just fits inside the vee dub so I guess I will continue and see where it ends up.

The head is kind of big - but you can see most of the monster's face depending on what angle you look through the window. It's all I have so I am going with him.
Also found some great wide five style wheels in the parts box that fit perfect so I will use these. Started filling the sink holes. Not very exciting.

Making a roof rack using the surfboard racks from a Deals Wheels VW Van. Already shortened them - will add wood slats after I glue them to the roof.

I got the little green monster painted and in the car. I painted the vw purple. Not what I was going to paint it but since I had not seen a purple bug since the 80's I figured why not. Wardster gave me the old glue bomb engine which should be just right for this. Tires are painted also. Now I have to paint the head and tail lights.  upload photos

Still plugging away. Painted the head and tail lights and have the wheels mounted to the transaxle and made some pipes with solder and now I have to finish the roof rack.

Looks like this car was once a beetle and got slammed into a wall and ends up like that.... and it still runs LOL  Looks great.. |
