I am sure you all remember a quite famous magazine CARtoon ... those drawings were awesome and I always go for that when mom and i go to food store after school. I often ask mom I would like one.. she was kind and got me one.. I spent time sitting in bathroom reading ... long enough my mom had to kick me out LOL. I get the chance to study drawings there and learned tricks. I have always enjoyed these magazines. Too bad they are not much in circulation nowdays.
Have you guys been in this road before? Tell us :-)

One of the biggest things I miss from my childhood is Car-Toons and the other one. Was it Hot Rod Cartoons maybe?

There are couple of CARtoon magazines on e bay, sometimes a seller would sell a box full of that for a certain price which I find it a steal!.. you can keep on checking on some magazine you would like.. I just notice there is an old issue dated back in 1959. whew quite a long way back till about i think 1985 or so before it ends the production. If you really want to look up in that, I would suggest you take a look at e bay, some prices are as low as 99 cents ...  I have had a couple of them but now I do not know where it went after years I left in storage.. oh well.. I ll have to dig more and may find some.. |

I picked up my first issue of Cartoons in the early 70's and was hooked . I'm probably in the minority here, but I never really cared for Krass and Bernie (although the artwork was fantastic), and I thought the magazine wasn't as funny after it got "revamped" in 1975 . I still bought it until the early 1980s but to me, the early issues were the real gems. I still have a few well read issues !

I was looking in one of the car-toon mags I posted photos of at the top of this string and even saw a sotry where they were punching each other out !.. it was the opening cartoon in the "Hot Rods and Racing Cars" .. the title is "The Animal Tamer" ... tyring to beat the guy up so he doesn't feel like racing against him .. man..... |

OH MAN!! I still got a couple of them from the 80's!! Great stuff!! LOVE the CRITTERS!! KRASS & BERNIE are the KOOLEST KATS!! They even built models in some of the issues!! GREAT MAG!!!!
