Since I have that handsome Leaky Louie dude destined for something else, I decided to build his boat pretty much OOB, and use it for a catch-all sort of thing on my workbench. I've thought of doing something like this for years...
Mock up. I like doing some things like this, just to try some things. Wasn't sure about painting the water, but so far, it's ok.
I did add a piece of diamond plate sheet to close off the front end, so I don't lose some part or whatever up in there, otherwise the boat proper will stay empty. Here it's loaded up with parts for my Davey's Tiger tank build.
I added modified headers from the DIGGER kits I have, heated some styrene tubing to make the flared ends. Blower scoop is tubing mounted on two short lengths of sprue, and a piece of diamond plate closes up tthe back.
And that's it for now. Taped off the hull to paint the red.
Should be finished pics next time 🤗
