The Rubble Coupe

Since I really haven't been able to work on anything for the last couple of months, I thought I'd post a set of pics from a build I finished a while ago... Barney's little runabout coupe.

I guess Fred must of borrowed it and drove it to downtown Bedrock to get model-ized.




The kit came with Dino, of course.

Here it is with my modified Flintmobile build (one seat vs two). The Rubble Coupe is a bit bigger in scale, but somewhat relatable.

This Fred would definitely not fit behind the Flintmobile wheel!

Here's a few WIP pics of the kit.
This kit was already built (an Ebay purchase) but unpainted, and I was able to break it down, for the most part, and then do some upgrades.

I closed up the wheel backs, two-part epoxy'd some gaps, and re-sculpted the log to soften the transition from bark to bare wood.

One of those upgrades was to give Fred ears. This was my Photoshop mockup before I actually added them.

It was missing the radiator fern and Dino's hair frond, but I scratched up some replacements.

Still haven't bothered to do up a license plate, tho. Maybe never.

For some reason I don’t recall seeing Barney’s ride .. the only one in the series I have is Fred on the back
of the dinosaur .. thanks for sharing I love them both!

Nice! I like the shot of both together. I have one in my stash - missing Dino though and the radiator fern. With a little work you made it look good. I like the ear additions too.
