While waiting for epoxy to harden on another kit, I spied this extra 57 Vette body that's just been hanging around for years. So, I thought it was finally time for it to go under the knife.
The areas to remove:
The pieces:
The stitching:
The wheel openings:
The stance (with hood):
I had thought about channeling the nose, but I didn't want it to look cross-eyed. That probably would have stressed the fender stitching, too.
Thanks for lookin'!

Thanks, guys.
I'm going to try to keep the hardtop as part of the final piece (that's pretty much how I'd drive it most of the time around here anyway).
That means I have to take it in to consideration when working up the interior and driver.

Put a coat of white primer on so that I could do some filler, and..... we got us a bleeder!
I'm planning on the classic blue/white color scheme, so I'll need to do some stain blocking.
Of note -- the hood came from a different issue of the same red plastic kit, but didn't bleed-thru.

Silver or black undercoat will seal the red from bleeding through to your color... I had the same issue with orange plastic I wanted to paint white...
