Hello all I just learned that the Scale Auto Magazine is no longer in publication. I received the fine scale magazine and thought it was an error and researched the internet and learned that they integrated with other military and airline magazine. So I looked into the current magazine I have and seen nothing of any car in there but just a military truck. Did you all other have subscription of Scale Auto magazine? I wonder... Did you all find out why it has ceased publication of that auto magazine? Dissapointed!

They announced it discontinuing a few months ago and said they would finish out our subscriptions with its sister publication Fine Scale Modeling which has all genres in it. I subscribed to both so they just extended my subscription. I'm not happy with it but their readership didn't dictate saving it unfortunately!

Yes sir modelcarfan it's been in the making for months, many people including myself had just renewed their subscription. Now we're stuck with a magazine that never has and I suspect never will cater to car guys. in the past they have featured the occasional Tamiya car kit. I enjoy looking at FSM, but would never have wanted to pay for it. I have every issue since the first, I had been featured in it Dozens of times submitted articles (that were never printed) and advertised my business in it. At one time there were 5 different model car mags.
The saving grace is these pro boards that people like Chuck and Bob provide. In one way these are better, because you couldn't get to know people thru a magazine.
Changing times my friend, remember when people walked down the street and said hello to each other, instead of isolating themselves staring down at their device (which I don't own any of).....I still say hello
If you want a real laugh think about the ramification if an armor or warbird builder all of a sudden got Scale Auto in the mail!

I wrote to Aaron Skinner at Finescale and his answer was: "Joe, Cars and associated auto content will be part of the FSM story mix going forward. Obviously we can't devote that amount of space to it that it occupied in Scale Auto but we have car features lined up for each issue planned."
