I've been a Peanuts fan since forever, and to finally have these two on the shelf, well...
First up, Snoopy in his Sopwith Camel:
His plane is unpainted, except for the struts and engine, and woodgrain on the prop. His cap and goggles got some, and Snoopy's teeth and eyes got some touches as well.
The doghouse came in black and white, so it got painted more in line with his on screen version.
Then, the Red Baron in his Fokker Triplane:
Oh, yeah... I always thought the Baron's head in the kit was oversized, so I've replaced it with a reworked Dave Deals head in a Funfdecker Baron pickelhaube helmet.
And a tattered ribbon scarf to catch the breeze.
Again, no paint on the main parts of the plane, but the cowl is painted chrome-ish, and the tail painted white. Decals are home grown and hand cut. The prop got woodgrained, and the base is painted Rustoleum Soft Iron with some silver overspray.
and don't forget that they both have a battery powered engine:
Finally, of course, there had to be a dogfight: Snoopy's plane is actually slightly larger than the Baron's.
Sorry for the long post, but I figured they needed to be run together. Thanks for lookin in!

Very nicely built and painted Jim. The woodgrain on the propellers looks really good too.
